Be Prepared to Board, Even If You Are Not Planning To Do So

We frequently receive calls from cat owners who need to make last-minute arrangements to board their cat. It could be that they have an unexpected need to travel on short notice, or the neighbor who they had lined up to stop in every day had to cancel, or their washing machine flooded the laundry room and they are going to have workers in the house for a few days cleaning up the mess and running those loud dryer fans.

These are all common reasons that people need to board their cats at the inn. Nearly as frequently, these are indoor-only cats who are not current on their vaccinations. We get it. The cat never leaves the house and is not exposed to other animals that might carry rabies or a respiratory virus. We really want to help you with your urgent need. However, we are firm in our requirement that all guests have records to verify that they are current on their rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. So do it now, just in case.

Then upload your records to your account with us. We’ll have them if and when we need them. Don’t have an account yet? It’s free to set it up, then if you ever need us, you’ll have one less task to complete. Here’s where you can start: Create an account.

Vaccinations are accessible and affordable. If you are unable to get to your regular vet on short notice, there are a few organizations providing low-cost and pop-up mobile vaccination clinics every weekend in Tarrant, Parker and surrounding counties.

Here are a few:

Penny Paws

Vaccination Station

Texas Coalition for Animal Protection TCAP

We want to help you. Please be prepared.
